Experienced gamers that go for flexibility usually choose a druid – OR a shaman. Other than a decent tank (he can equip mail armor, but he can’t keep up with the druid in bear form…) this WoW class can slip into any role, whether healer, damage dealer, or supporters – the shaman offers a little bit of the warrior, much of the mage, and a good serving of priest on top of that.
Through Totems of the Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, the shaman can strengthen himself and his group. One of the most interesting abilities he possesses is the ability to resurrect himself: A horror for PvP opponents! And if you want to put someone on ice, just use the good old “frost shock”.
Specialize your shaman
Elemental: The exceptional abilities of the elemental shaman are settled somewhere between moonkin (balance druid) and mage. His specialty is long ranged spells that are associated with lightning, fire, and nature damage. In this tree, the range of your spells is not the only thing you’re improving. A favorite of many ele shamans: The “Chain Lightning” spell that jumps from opponent to opponent and really provides high-voltage entertainment. The elemental excitement for electricity finds its peak in “Thunderstorm” – with which you can (even when you’re stunned!) charge up yourself (literally!) in order to let all opponents within 10 yards feel the might of your elemental electricity: Opponents are dealt damage and flung back 20 yards. As a small bonus, your mana is also recharged.
Enhancement: Is there a warrior mage? It would be cool. This unbelievable combination is what the shaman offers, when putting his all into enhancement. With totems, dual-wield, a decent set of spells, and some healing abilities, the enhancement shaman is a flexible opponent and is always has a few surprises. Bloodlust and Heroism are two more very interesting abilities that increase melee and distance attack rates as well as spell tempo rate by 30% for 40 seconds for all group members.
Restoration: Like this tree suggests, all healing skills are improved. All in all, the shaman is a great healer when it comes to healing multiple targets. With the various improvements to his chain healing spells included in his skill tree, you’ll be taking mass healing to the extreme. The peak of this tree is, however, a healing spell for single targets: “Riptide”. You’ll have a hefty serving of instant healing with this spell in addition to a healing over time spell (HoT) and increases the amount healing by chain heal by 25% for 15 seconds.
