A holy “jack-of-all trades”, the Paladin can do everything pretty well: You can spec him as a healer, a tank, or a retribution paladin. Thanks to plate armor, the paladin is nearly as robust as a warrior. If you choose a Paladin, you’ll have no problems finding a group – the Paladin is an absolute support favorite. Don’t be surprised if people will want you for a support role due to your auras and blessings which fortify the entire group.
The Paladin is also an excellent solo fighter. Thanks to various seals, he can fortify his attacks; he can also turn this fortification into a negative effect that he can release against his opponent in the form of a judgment. The ne plus ultra of the paladin and perhaps the mightiest of all WoW-char abilities at all is the legendary “Divine Shield”: full immunity to all attacks and all types of damage, be it physical or magical! Leap from the highest of cliffs without getting a scratch on you! Best of all, you can rush towards your opponent in a rage and all he can do is run away helplessly. In order to keep them sitting obediently in one spot, you can also hit ‘em with “Hammer of Justice”, which will stun them. If your annoying enemy is on the verge of escaping despite heavy wounds, you can snag them with Hammer of Wrath
Specialize your paladin
Holy: Put all your eggs in this basket to become the best single-target healer ever. In raids and instances, you’ll provide for reliable, endless toughness quality of your tank. Tip: Use Flash of Light as often as possible due to mana efficiency. Only use Holy Light if you’ll need to iron out heavy damage taken by the tank. Don’t forget to mentally calculate cast times. If it gets really dicey, use “Holy Shock” for a dose of instant heal. You can also use this spell to attack your enemies.
Protection: The protection paladin is the tank to have when you need to go toe-to-toe with large groups in PvE. Generate aggro right at the beginning of a battle with “Consecration” (AoE damage!), “Avenger’s Shield”, and “Hammer of the Righteous”. Using these spells will not only provide for hellish holy damage, but also optimal aggro.
Retribution: Once upon a time, the paladin was useless for DPS – but thanks to new mastery buff and holy might, the paladin can really dish out damage. A nice aura that will get you into any raid is the ability to give the entire raid an extra 3% damage! Another skill you won’t want to underestimate is Avenging Wrath, which increases all damage and healing caused by 20% for 20 seconds.
Allowable Races: Blood Elf, Draenai, Human, Dwarf, Tauren
